The building itself is the masterpiece. Designed by the legendary architect **Le Corbusier** in 1959, it is the only UNESCO World Heritage building in Tokyo.
Rodin's Hell
In the front courtyard, you can see Rodin's "The Gates of Hell" and "The Thinker" for free without entering the museum.
Monet & Renoir
Inside, the collection focuses on French Impressionism. The natural lighting designed by Le Corbusier is stunning.
The Concrete
Architecture fans come just to touch the brutalist concrete walls and see the "Modulor" proportions.
Life-Size
Blue Whale
Nature & Science. ๐ฆ
Known as "Kahaku." You can't miss itโthere is a massive life-size Blue Whale statue diving into the ground outside the entrance. It is fantastic for kids and history buffs.
Theater 360:
A spherical movie theater where you stand on a bridge in the middle of a 360-degree screen. It feels like floating inside the movie.
Shitamachi Museum. ๐๏ธ
Located on the edge of Shinobazu Pond. This small museum recreates the "Shitamachi" (Low City) life of Tokyo from 100 years ago.
Walk Inside
You can actually take off your shoes and step inside the recreated merchant houses and candy shops.
Hands On
Volunteers (often elderly locals) will teach you how to play traditional wooden toys from the Taisho era.
